9/11

3863156484_1a9ee90e2fIt’s hard to believe that eight years have passed. I know that it was one of those moments that will always live crystal-clear in my memory.

The stunned disbelief.

The horrific images.

The empty sky for days following.

I hope that this date will always stand as a reminder for all of us to pray diligently for our nation, our leaders, and our military. We may never understand why such an unthinkable thing could happen in our country and to innocent people. We must pray for wisdom, for guidance, and for peace.

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

Is there something specific you remember about that day? What is your prayer for our nation?

  1. 2 CHRONICLES 7:14 .
“IF MY PEOPLE, WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME, WILL HUMBLE THEMSELF’S & PRAY & SEEK MY
FACE, AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS ,THEN WE WILL HEAR FROM HEAVEN & FORGIVE THEIR SIN & WILL HEAL THEIR LAND.”

  2. I remember my mom not believing it when I told her. I had seen it on the news & called her right away. She was always so naive.

I also remember feeling scared to leave my house. Thinking that surely they were planning another attack only it would be much more subtle, like taint the drinking water or something.
